Hi this is Nivas from Trubers Community, Here to produce review on DaYan GuHong. it is the first cube in evolution of cubes to have a different shape from the traditional shape of cubes.it was came before the ZhanChi.
It has a simple structure and machanism the corner pieces were with the longer stem and it was slim and simple and the edges was beveled down for better cross cutting it was made of molding three pieces.
the edges are also similarly molded like corner pieces. it was molded with 2 pieces it caused more rounded feel and had a little plastic came out to save the cube from popping.
I like the GuHong a lot! This is a cube that I would willingly go to a competition with or to show off how fast I am with it. Now I have cubes that I like better, but this definitely hits in my top 5 speed cubes. The turning, the corner-cutting, the feel is all top notch and was great for its time. That’s why Dayan grew to be such a respected brand. They have cubes that work.
To people who are just starting in the speed cubing world, I introduce them to either this cube or the ZhanChi. They both have a great feel and they are perfect for beginning and learning how to get faster at solving the cube. Everyone that I’ve recommended this cube has come back to thank me for showing them. I even show it to those who haven’t even learned how to solve the cube, and they go buy one so they can learn for themselves!
